HTML
email is just an email that looks like a web page.
We can help you with the design and development of
your html email as well as provide sending and subscribing
tools as well.
With new spamming laws and
the complexity of restrictions when sending html email,
our staff can help point you in the right direction.
An HTML email communication might look good on your
computer but fail completely on the contact's because
it depends on graphics, fonts, and CSS files which
only reside on your system. When creating your email
in outside HTML editors like Microsoft Publisher,
Dreamweaver, or FrontPage, you have to remember that
you are designing for email and not a website. If
you design the email as if it were a web page, it
may not display correctly in your contacts' different
email and web mail clients.
Why you should leave the
design of HTML email to us:
Every email client has a different way of representing
the code, each with its own unique bugs, quirks, and
methods for handling CSS. In particular, style attributes
that cause problems with the positioning of elements
include the following:
Non-standard HTML tags: Special tags generated by
Microsoft proprietary software like Publisher and
Frontpage are not standard HTML and will not be displayed
correctly in many browsers and email clients.
URLs are used for links to other web pages, and to
specify the location of page resources such as image
files. Relative URLs refer to other files on the same
site as the web page. The problem is that your email
is not a website and if you use relative URLs, your
images will not appear.
An email client may disable any content it doesn't
trust. IFrames, Flash, Embedded Audio/Video, and even
external stylesheets can fall into this category.
Some clients automatically disable hyperlinks too
if the sender is not in the receiver's address book.
If there is a problem with how an email displays,
the issue could be your code, the email client being
used to display the email, or both. Because of this,
we recommend that you leave the design of HTML email
to us.
